Usually, an IEP will take an air sample outside the Clients front door and one or more within the previously contaminated area. These samples will be reviewed by a Laboratory quickly to ensure that a proper, complete Remediation occurred. Upon passing the post IAQ test, a very thorough moisture check will be conducted within the affected building materials to ensure they have reached the EMC(equilibrium moisture content). Depending on this, Restoration may start. All Mold Remediation Circumstances are followed by a concluding meeting with our Client(s) confirming that they embraced all the necessary knowledge around their circumstance and ensure all closing questions and concerns are non-existent. - Water Heaters and their surround areas, leaky/improper windowsills or doorsills, underneath sinks, under refrigerators/dishwashers/freezers, and around shower/tubs(surrounding walls/flooring/baseboards) are very common places for discovering mold. Whether it a couple of drips occasionally or minor/major leaks, sometimes this will go undetected and will lead to the development of Mold Growth and Colonization. Most of the time, these types of Mold Circumstances may be avoided with regular checks of all these regions.
- A piece of advice to every homeowner is to use a squeegee on all shower surfaces and/or glass doors when finished every time. It will reduce the effect of water staining and potentially the build of mold/mildew. If there is visible darkish built up gunk on the shower tile surface and grout, that is an indication.
- In an event where Water Intrusion occurs that goes undetected, the result can leave Gypsum Board(Drywall) to appear to be stained with brownish/yellowish rings from the Water Intrusion evaporating. Wallpaper that is affected may develop a warped appearance. Paint may become bubbled and look soggy.

It is highly recommended to ensure proper ventilation is in place when applicable, with techniques such as simply opening doors and windows(permitting weather), placing dehumidifiers when it is known that humidity will be higher from certain indoor activities, and using exhaust fans on range hoods when cooking or turning on the bathroom exhaust fan while showering. These practices can help prevent Mold growth from high humidity and condensation.
